We also want to ensure that we monitor our perfomance against that of similar organisations, to check how we compare.
Wulvern takes part in an annual benchmarking exercise with other organisations throughout the country. This exercise allows us to assess current levels of performance and costs in order to improve the quality of our services.
We produce an efficiency summary of the top level cost and quality indicators for key areas of our business, which allows you to monitor our performance and understand the relationship (VfM) between cost and performance. We include performance for two years, which allows you to compare our year on year performance and identify where we have made improvements and where we need to focus more attention. You will note that there are a number of areas where we have no data, particularly in relation to Repairs. This is not because we don't monitor our Repairs service, its just that the data we have does not fit the measures used in the benchmarking.
The smiley face indicators allow you to easily see our performance trend compared to the previous year.
We are very encouraged by our latest set of benchmarking results and the information is now being used by all areas of the business to ensure that we continue to improve and deliver VfM to all customers.
