Chloe's Festive Cheer

A 9-year-old schoolgirl has drawn the winning design for local affordable housing provider Wulvern’s official Christmas card.  Wulvern Chairman, Dave Williams visited Monks Coppenhall Primary School in Crewe to congratulate the young winner, Chloe Grant, whose colourful festive design featuring a cheerful snowman was chosen from over 50 entries. 

The card will be sent to all Wulvern tenants across the Crewe and Nantwich area.

Dave Williams said: "We were really impressed with the artistic skills of all the children who entered the competition.  The quality of their work was excellent and picking an overall winner was a difficult decision to make.”

Teacher, Kirsty Hetherington added: “I'm very proud that one of my pupils has created such an outstanding Christmas card for Wulvern. The children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to take part in this competition and it will be a great honour for Chloe’s design to be sent to thousands of homes across Cheshire."

Along with overall winner Chloe, runners up William Sumner and Conner Challinor received prizes of gift vouchers and their school also received a donation.  The children also visited local printing company The Printing House to watch Chloe’s design being printed.

In recognition of Wulvern’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, this year the company has decided to reduce the number of Christmas cards printed. 

Communications Officer, Hilary Buckley explains “At Wulvern corporate social responsibility is all about being a responsible housing provider and a responsible employer whilst having a positive impact on our community and environment. Customers will still receive their seasonal greetings from Wulvern in card format; however we will be sending our glad tidings to corporate partners by emailing a virtual card instead.”
