Independent Living Manager

Crewe

Salary: c £50,000 + pension

As our new Independent Living Manager you won’t just share this goal, you’ll be passionate about it !

This role needs someone who can provide exceptional leadership to the Independent Living department, to ensure that the 5A rated, value for money service continues to support the needs and aspirations of older and vulnerable people.

You will be helping to formulate and implement innovative strategies to respond to the challenging operating environment and seeking new opportunities to develop our existing services and secure funding. You will need to develop effective partnerships and stakeholder relationships at a senior level with both partner agencies and the local authority.

Working at a senior level you will be a member of our Operations Management Team and will play a key part in running the business.

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with substantial leadership experience, you must also have significant experience of working within an older person’s service (in both Extra Care and Supported Living). Also essential is a specialist knowledge of supporting people and other relevant regulation. You will have excellent budgetary and resource management skills with experience of writing reports and presenting at a senior level.

To thrive in this role you will need a strong commercial acumen with experience of evaluating, formulating and delivering strategic plans with a proven track record in building strong stakeholder relationships with the ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level. A knowledge or experience of health or social care would also be beneficial.

Extra Care Scheme Manager

Blacon, Chester

Salary: £28,000

One of our goals is to support people to live independently in their chosen lifestyle and if you share this ideal you might be our new Extra Care Scheme Manager or Deputy Scheme Manager.

We will be opening Deva Point, our new Extra Care Scheme in Blacon, Chester, early in 2015 and require an enthusiastic professional to manage the safe and smooth running of the building and deliver an excellent management service to the residents.

As the Deva Point Manager you will help develop a vibrant and thriving new community within our latest Extra Care development. You will have experience in housing management, ideally in an Extra Care setting and will demonstrate excellent communication and people skills as well as an empathy towards older people. The ability to prioritise tasks whilst embracing a positive attitude towards customer service is essential.

We also have a possible job share opportunity for an Extra Care Scheme Manager in our Anderton Place scheme in Northwich.

Extra Care Manager

Crewe

Salaray: £36,000 + car allowance + pension

One of our goals is to support people to live independently in their chosen lifestyle and if you share this ideal you might be our new Extra Care Manager.

In this role , you will report to our new Independent Living Manager and be responsible for ensuring that all our extra care schemes are providing a high quality, value for money extra care service for older and vulnerable customers. Our teams will be looking to you to act as our expert on all aspects of Extra Care provision.

You will be involved in developing innovative and proactive strategies to ensure Wulvern Extra Care schemes remain at the forefront of the sector. As the Extra Care Manager you will be responsible for the overall management of our Extra Care schemes and the ongoing development of a highly professional management team. We will expect you to provide motivational leadership, coaching and support to our on-site Extra Care Managers.

Working closely with the Growth and Enterprise team you will be part of the project team responsible for the successful delivery of new extra care sites from their initial option appraisal to scheme handover. You will have to take ownership for the set up and commissioning of all new extra care schemes during the development and post handover.

We are looking for someone with brilliant leadership skills and significant experience of working in an older person’s service (part of which must have been in an extra care environment). You will have knowledge of the housing sector including allocations, dealing with rent arrears and customer engagement (you may possibly hold a housing qualification) and you will also hold excellent budgetary and resource management experience. We would expect that you are educated to A level standard (or equivalent).
